Why and How Infrared Works

Infrared or radiant heating is simply the transfer of heat from a warm object to a cooler object. The heat is a product of a completely safe spectrum of light that is invisible to our eyes.

Just as the sun has been heating people here on earth for thousands of years, our IR heaters radiate sun-like warmth to indoor or outdoor spaces, floors, and our yogis, rather than heating the air.

These technologies amount to safe, clean, low-cost energy that’s friendly to people and to the environment.

By comparison, systems like forced air, baseboard, and wall heaters only heat the air. Because warm air rises in the presence of cooler air, the heated air can be easily sucked away by drafts or wind, and must be replaced frequently by more heated air in order to sustain ambient comfort. This all amounts to wasted energy and higher heating bills.

Clean & Green Heat

Our IR heaters are healthier than traditional forms of heat, as they do not blow dust or allergens. Plus, they don’t make noise. They also do not need filters, fuels, ducts or pumps that require seasonal cleaning and maintenance. Plus, all of our heaters are proudly made in the USA, are 99-100% recyclable, and our heating panel products are recognized by LEED ratings!

Benefits of Infrared Heaters

Increase Flexibility:

  • Infrared heat directly warms muscles, allowing for a greater range of motion.
  • Stretching can increase more than two times higher than normal with infrared heat.
  • Helps yoga students open up, melt deep into poses and gain confidence in their practice.

Increase Circulation:

  • Infrared heat has shown to stimulate blood flow.
  • It can help lower blood pressure, help oxygenate organs, and rid the body of toxins.

  • Infrared heat will make you sweat, which is a good thing because it is your body’s natural way of flushing toxins. As your body absorbs infrared heat, water molecules begin to vibrate, which causes them to wring out impurities from the cells.
  • These impurities will then be released from your body as you sweat, creating a deep, detoxifying cleanse on the cellular level.

Weight Loss:

  • The human body has an impressive temperature regulation system which takes energy (calories) to maintain a consistent temperature.
  •  Infrared heat also increases metabolism between the blood and tissue, which also burns calories.

Pain Relief:

  • Infrared heat directly penetrates tissues, muscles and joints, allowing them to heal and regenerate through a combination of the aforementioned increased circulation, oxygenation and detoxification.
  • Infrared radiation incredibly is useful for pain relief for both minor injuries and chronic ailments.
  • Infrared is used by physical therapists, saunas and yoga studios around the world.
